Hello! I am Parul Desai, and I am a Registered Dietitian and Chef. From a young age, I have been passionate about food, cooking, and nutrition. After completing my bachelor’s degree in Dietetics from Virginia Tech and my Dietetic Internship with Aramark, I worked as a consultant with Aramark’s Health and Wellness team where I was inspired to go to culinary school. I received my Culinary Arts certification from the Institute of Culinary Education. I have worked in restaurants, as a personal chef, taught cooking classes, as a culinary analyst, and as a consultant.
What I enjoy most is sharing techniques for healthier eating with others. I identify myself as a foodie and enjoy all types of food. I am a firm believer that what we eat can be both nutritious and delicious at the same time. Food that fuels the body to function has the potential to change your day (and more). Watching humble ingredients transform using herbs, spices, marinades, sauces, and various cooking techniques inspires my creativity.
